"How To" Help? Getting from AK to Epcot to HS in 1 day??

Any secrets on getting between parks quickly? I'm confused as to weather the shuttles run between parks or if I have to take a shuttle to a hotel to then get to another park??

Take either Yacht and Beach Club or Boardwalk bus..may be the same...to the resort. Short walk over to back EPCOT entrance called Intl Gateway. Can get familiar and see boats that can take u to HS.!

You can do as the PP said, take a bus to one of the Epcot resorts and then enter Epcot via the International Gateway. You can also take a bus directly to Epcot (this will get you to the main entrance at the front of the park) or DHS.

From Epcot to DHS, exit via International Gateway (in World Showcase) and then either take the boat (about 30 minutes) or walk (about 1 mile) to DHS. The boat will make stops at the BW, YC/BC, and S/D before reaching DHS.

There IS transportation from resort to park and from park to park - there is no transportation from resort to resort or from the parks to DTD.

OP can take a bus directly to Epcot from AK, (no need to go via a resort). Then the OP can take either a direct bus from the front entrance to Epcot to the studios or a boat from the International Gateway entrance to the Studios (with 3 stops at the boardwalk area resorts). You can also walk from Epcot to the Studios - depending on your party this could take 30 mninutes or so.

So do you suggest any one particular way as being fastest? I'd think walking would be the quickest but I'll be with my parents who are older and not in the best of health so that wouldn't be the best option. I would think the bus would then be the second quickest if it's a direct ride and doesn't stop 3 times like the boat?

That must have been what confused me - I read somewhere that the buses don't go resort to resort and must have thought I read they didn't go park to park. Thanks for clearing that up as well.

Get a bus from AK to Epcot, then exit Epcot through it's back door (International Gateway) and you can either boat or walk to DHS. The boat takes about 25 mins, not including any wait times. The walk takes about 20 mins. Or, if you're in the front part of Epcot, you can take a bus to DHS.
The only issue with taking the bus from EPcot to DHS is that if you are in World Showcase when you're ready to hit DHS, it means walking past the Intl Gateway (between France and England) and going back to the front of Epcot...by the time you walk that, you could have walked almost to DHS. But if you're going to be in Future World anyway, then take the bus.

As others have indicated, getting from Epcot to DHS is largely a matter of which half of the park you are already in. The OP indicated that walking might be a concern for her folks, so some general distances:

Epcot Ticket Gate to International Gateway is about 0.6 miles.
International Gateway to DHS is about 1.3 miles.
BC Bus Stop to International Gateway is about 0.4 miles.
American Pavillion (farthest pavillion from the front) to the Ticket Gate is about 0.8 miles.

As goofy4tink indicated, it is probably fastest (and the least walking) to take the bus if you at one of the Future World pavillions (with the possible exception of Imagination! because that's pretty close to WS). If you're in WS (especially on the western half), then taking the boat is the shortest.
