How to Hang/attach to RV walls?

In trying to get our camper ready for our July trip I have a few things I want to hang up, picture, Mickey wall light, etc.

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to securely hang things?

Are there actually any wooden studs in the wall of a camper? (Keystone Raptor) Do they make RV wall anchors or anything like that? I've tried google searching but didn't see anything.

Thank you!!

Krista

If it's nothing super heavy, the Command Strips work pretty well. I also use their hooks to hang things like potholders, towels, etc.

Could be wood, could be aluminum, not sure what Keystone uses. I've used, Industrial strengh velcro and also screws. All you have to watch is the length(the shorter the better) since most walls are no more than 2" thick.

I would use command strips, I use them around the house for odds and ends, they are great because they don't leave a mark to patch and repair later ;)

Command hangers by Scotch 3M are your friends. They come in all sizes and weight tolerances. The best part is if the next person who buys your camper doesn't like where you've placed hooks & stuff, they are a snap (literally) to remove! :thumbsup2

We use the Scotch adhesive strips for hanging some things, but haven't done too much to the new trailer. Our Keystone Passport Ultralite has aluminum frame, so it would be tough to tap into those (and probably not necessary unless something was really heavy).

I also use the command strips and hooks. I have coat hooks at the door, potholder hooks near the stove, the small containers for odds & ends, and lots of picture frames hanging in my camper - nothing heavy - I have only had one frame come unattached after 2 years/6,000+ miles with "decoration" -and it's all temporary so when we do decide to upgrade the next buyer won't be stuck with our holes.

I use screws for most things and short lags for the heavier stuff. I can usually find wood or metal to screw into. Actually, I should say my husband finds the wood and metal and then I give him the stuff I need attached. We travel with our dogs, so we hang up their leashes. We also hang up our toiletry bags for the showers, umbrellas, flashlights, key hooks, and basically anything that I don't want just laying around.

definately Command hooks! also heavy duty velcro and blue or yellow sticky tack for light objects!

We have used nice picture hangers (small nail) to support the item being hung...then use the museum/earthquake putty at the bottom to secure it / keep it from moving while towing. We have several things hung this way (mirrors, pictures, and a clock) and so far nothing has ever fallen or moved. Yes it will leave a small nail hole, but nothing really obtrusive.

Have done both...used Command Strips AND small screws. Just make sure that the item you use the Command Strip with is not heavy. We made that mistake and the beautiful ceramic parrot did not survive the fall 6 months later with the heat in the camper when not in use made the sticky backing not so sticky.

I just hung some Mickey and Minnie potholders in the kitchen area of the trailer with command hooks. Carols says it will never work. I say it will. Time will tell who wins. If they fail, I will never believe you guys again.

The hooks will stay on, but the potholders might come off when things are bouncing around on the road. Would that make you both wrong or right? ;)

I have mine hung on the medium hooks and they have never bounced off 2 potholders on the same hook even.

I agree with the other (Scotch 3M) believers! They are great - for pictures I use the Velcro Strips by 3m! For small little things - I use the double sided type tapes and some hooks! Enjoy - Also, they sell some skid type foam mesh lining that my aunt uses for trinkets - and they do not budge when they are towing there camper!
