How to get to Richard Petty Driving Experience

Hi everyone? Just wondering, how do you get to the Richard Petty Driving Experience? We won't have a rental car and are staying at ASMO. Do you need to take a cab? Or is there a shuttle? TIA!

Not knowing how you are planning on getting around or where you are staying, I can tell you that you go as if you are going to MK and as you are getting ready to turn into the parking lot, after you pay for parking, you would need to turn to the left. It will seem as you are actually going to leave the parking area but there is a tunnel right there on the left and that is where you turn to get there. It is a great experience that I was able to do about 3 or 4 years ago. I think it would have been more awesome over at Daytona because of the size of the track and all of the history. The Disney track is only one mile in length so the ride doesn't last very long at all. But, again, I will say that it was still an awesome experience.

We took a shuttle from the TTC back in 1998. I'd call & ask RPE what they are doing now.

When dh did this back in 2004 we had to be there pretty early (like 7am). So, we just drove ourselves. Since you won't have a rental car you may want to call RPDE and see if what they suggest. If all else fails you can get a taxi too.

This was still the case in Feb 05 my dh did the experience and loved it. From Asmo take the bus to the MK and then transfer to the TTC to catch the shuttle. You could always take a cab as well.

In November DH and his buddy took the am bus for Character Breakfasts.. they told the driver they were doing RPDE and he took them right too the TTC before doing the MK stop. When us wives and kids went, we did the same thing and the driver again took us to TTC and dropped us off telling the rest of the bus they would be making a quick stop and then will continue onto MK. The RPDE van will then come and pick you up at the Kennels as previously posted!

My DH still talks about what an awesome rush the experience was. He loved having that horsepower in his control! You will not go wrong!!
