In June we will be staying at SSR. We have 7:15 reservations for Hoop De Doo. How do we get there from SSR? How early should we leave since I was told to arrive 30 minutes early?

I hope you don't mind me camping on to your post, but I have no idea to how to get to HDH either and I'd love help as well. We'll be traveling there either from Epcot or CSR. How do we get there and how much travel time should we plan for?

Thanks!

Interesting question. If you have a car, you must park it in the Campground parking lot and take a shuttle bus to where the show is. 15 minutes to drive to the lot, 10-15 minute wait for a bus, (maximum), 5 minutes on the bus. Just count backwards and you will see how much time to allow.

No car? Take a bus to Magic Kingdom then look for the boat to the Campgrounds. 15 minute (max) wait for a bus, 10 minute ride, 20 minute wait (average) for the boat, 15 minute ride in the boat. Do the math. Best thing about this is that the Hoop-De-Doo is a short stroll from the boat dock.

From any other park? The "Campground" buses go, I think, to the Campground parking lot. You still have to transfer as above, to the best of my recollection.

Cab? I don't know if taxis can go beyond the campground parking lot.

Thanks so much for the info on directions and time frame getting there. We will be taking the bus and boat route. Hopefully we won't get lost along the way.

We rode the bus to the campground. It made several stops. One was right near HDD. The driver told us when it was the stop for HDD. Otherwise I would take the ferry over. It dops you off as close as the bus, just on the opposite end. A car would not be convenient because the parking lot is far from HDD.

We went to the HDD 2 weeks ago from the AKL by bus. It was not pleasant. First we took a bus to Epcot (any park will do), then took the Wilderness Lodge bus. From the WL, busses go directly to the HDD. Overall, it took over 1 hour - I would plant on 1 1/2 hours by bus from a resort.

Getting back was really nice though. They had busses going back directly to all the resorts from the HDD for us tired travellers.

We all agreed that of all the things we did at WDW that week, only the HDD was not worth it.

Another option to try is the Contemp / WL / Campground boat. Take the monorail to the Contemporary. The boats at the pier make continous loop to the campground and then WL, or to WL and then the campground. They seem to be pretty frequent. We never waited more then 10 minutes. Even if you stop at WL first, it should only take 20 - 30 minutes total. The HDR building is a quick 4-5 minute walk from the pier at the campground.
