Hi all

We have just booked for next september 1 - 18
14 days in port orleans ,
3 day cruse,

very very excited

any way my question to you all what is the best way to get from PORS to the Cruse

Then from the Cruse to the airport?

Thanks every one

Do you mean a cruise or is cruse short for something else?

If your going on a disney cruise you can you their buses, its similar to magical express but you pay for it :lmao: They would transfer your luggage from Port Orleans and then it will be in your cabin when you arrive.

It only works out good value if there is two or less of you otherwise I would book a town car from someone like Mears (the DCL boards have lots of info on this).

If you book a towncar you can also arrive at the port earlier than dcl, for us we would prefer a day lounging around in wdw than at a port :rotfl: but each to their own :thumbsup2

Thanks for your help and yer a disney "cruise"

there are 2 adults so looks like the transfer would be best.

Thanks for your help

Are you hiring a car? We drove to port and left the car parked there.

Is it your first cruise? You will love it!! :goodvibes

DIS have a page on transportation
http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruise-new/cr-transportation.htm

And a page for general transportation.

We have always rented a car, sometimes parked up at the port ($15/day) other times droped at Budget office near the port with free shuttle to and from the ships.

Thanks will have a look at them.

We are not hiring a car, but will have a look at using one for getting there or even getting to the airport.
Our flight is at about 7:15pm so will have that final day to kill so hiring a car might be a nice idea....there is only 2 of us tho and i am only going to be 24.(any good companies for young driver?)

It is our first cruise very excited only doing 3 nights but be a nice way to end the holiday.

Thanks again every one:wizard:

Hi Dave, we used Disney transport from POR to get to the cruise terminal and then hired a car from Budget on the way back, from port to MCO (pre-booked from the UK).

Using the Disney transportation was great, they came for our bags around 8.30am and we didn't see them again until we boarded the Wonder, they were outside our cabin waiting for us :) really handy for us as we had 4 cases, hand luggage and DD in a buggy so we would have struggled with the luggage.

On our return we caught a free shuttle bus from the port to Budget's car hire and got our car within about 20 mins. We checked our cases in at DTD and spent the rest of the day there getting last minute bits before heading to MCO to drop the car off.
