this may be a dumb question, but is it walking distance? is there a shuttle or something? We made reservations at Boma for Dinner and plan on doing AK during the day. We are staying offsite, so we will have a car. What's the easiest to get there?
There is no walking path, but it's about a 3 minute drive. You can take a Disney bus, but if you have your own car, it would be easier to drive yourself. Just follow the signs as you exit the AK parking lot.
It's not ideal for walking (no trails or whatever) and there's no shuttle. You could take a bus, but if I had my car, I'd just drive over there. It's a very short drive. As you pull out of the parking lots, I believe there's a little road to the right that will allow you to turn right into the road that leads up to AKL. (Might not be exact, but I'm going by memory.) Boma is awesome! Enjoy!
That's a good question, one I was wondering about myself. We're going in Feb 2012 and I really want to eat at Boma. AK usually closes at 5 during that time of year, IIRC. If we take a bus from AK to Boma for dinner, would we be able to get back to AK in order to hop another bus to our resort (Coronado Springs)? How long do the buses keep running after a park closes?

There's always the option to switch buses at Downtown Disney after the parks close - although AKL to DTD to Coronado is a darned long ride. Many guests spring for a taxi at that point.
