We are doing the land & sea package in Feb. 06 :rotfl: - using Disney transport all the way from the airport to resort to port & back. Is there somewhwere where we can buy pop, wine & bottled water to take on the ship - like a Walgreens or similar? Have never been to WDW or on a cruise... :cool1:

Wondering what you where planning? 1 day rental car? or a cab? Otherwise some of the "disney" resorts do sell (priced high) milk, bread, etc... . right at the resorts. A 1 day car rental might be as economical as the cab with the meter running while in the store?

Walgreens are well stock and plentiful near WDW. Pretty much around any corner off property. As well as many mini markets. Another good option (that's overlooked) is the wdw gas stations near BW & DTD. They where exxon not sure if still are. We found some amazing pop discounts, water, and snacks.

Good luck, Mky ::MinnieMo

We have found that prices for soda and bottled water are better at the Hess stations on WDW property than at any of the nearby groceries (got 12 packs of canned Coke preoducts for $2.29 last trip)...if that is all ou are looking for they will do fine. Obviously if you want a better selection or more gorcery items the gas station won't be much help.

You can 1) take a cab - expensive, but fairly easy.
or you can 2) do a 1 day car rental - no mare expensive than a cab if you book in advance, but a lot of trouble for some cokes and water. Probably a better option would be to either pack a box at home with what you want and check it as luggage on the plane or use a service like www.wegoshop.com
They are fairly economical and way easier than any of the car/cab options. You would have to get a lot of soda and water to make up for the $25 a cab or car would run you.

They're not Exxon anymore...they're Hess. On gas, their prices are remarkably competitive, considering that they are on property.

Not sure where the nearest Walgreens is but if you specifically need Walgreens, for example to fill a prescription, here is one:

Take Osceola Parkway west towards Animal Kingdom Lodge (bear left away from AK toll plaza), left at light down Sherberth Road south, right onto 192 west (or onto Black Lake and right again onto 192 west), go beyond the overpass construction and then Walgreens is on the left, directly at (I'm a bit unsure here) second or first light.

If you exit WDW proeprty from DTD to Apopka Vineland Rd there are two Walgreens fairly close by. If you turn left, there's one about a half mile up ob the left hand side. If you turn right and go under the 4, it's about another half mile past that on your right hand side. (I think it's the irght side)
