How to get to 1900 Fare?

We're day visitors the week of 4/13 and plan to have character breakfast at 1900 Fare and are looking for advice re what time to make our reservatio for and how would we get from Magic Kingdom parking lot to Grand Floridian and what time to get there, etc. Any advice would be very welcome!!!

My advice as far as what time to make your ADR would be to make it according to when you feel most comfortable getting there. Personally, I'm not an early riser and made an ADR there for 8:45am last time and felt rushed to get there (I was staying at Pop).
As far as getting there from the MK parking lot, I'd say go to the TTC and hop on the resort monorail. After you get on, it will make a stop at the Polynesian and then the Grand Floridian where you will need to get off.

As said the Monorail is the easiest option. You can walk by going right after the monorail and following the path around through the Polynesian resort then following the beach around to the Grand Floridian but this is a much longer journey.

Afterwards you can catch the monorail directly to the front of the park (its the next stop) or you can get a boat from the dock at the Grand Floridian (takes a little longer but nice journey)
