How to get there from here.

We will be arriving at John Wayne Airport in July. What is the best way to get to Disneyland Hotel from there? We would also like to rent a car when we leave to go to San Diego. Can we rent a car at Disneyland and drop it off at San Diego Airport? Thanks for any help.

I don't know about car rentals, so I can't help you there (except I've heard the commercials for Enterprise..."they pick you up!" )

I just moments ago booked our transportation from John Wayne to the Disneyland Hotel.

Thanks to the DISers here (you guys are SO GREAT!) I called SuperShuttle and booked "exclusive van service" for $94 round trip. There are six of us, so it's the perfect option for us...no waiting, no going to other hotels...I'm excited! Plus, I've already paid for it now, so we will just have to tip the driver for the help with the bags.

Keeping in mind that I haven't TAKEN the service yet, so far it seems so great!

If you're renting a car, why not rent it at the airport, so you don't have to take a shuttle? How long are you staying at DLand?

We are staying four nights and won't need a car until we leave for San Diego. We don't plan on going anywhere else, but to save the parking fee and daily rental, it may be worth a shuttle to Universal, if we decide to go there. We are leaving from San Diego Airport, but a flying into SNA.

From John Wayne, I do believe you can take Interstate 5 North to Disneyland. It's been years since I lived in Southern Cal so be sure to check a map just in case I am wrong.
