How to get the Facebook button?

I have seen a lot of you have a button in your siggy so everyone can find you on facebook. How do I get that????

Since I haven't seen what you are referring to, are they like FB Flair buttons?

Could you link us to someone's signature who has what you are talking about?

For me, I don't think I want the entire world to be able to put my real name together with my DIS name, so I won't be doing it. Asking for too much trouble. Especially if you post trip dates & when you will be gone from home. To each their own however.

Come on, that was not my question... I want to know how to get it... I'm the only Danish person on this board, so YES I don't mind that people can find me on Facebook. They can't see my profile unless I add them as friends anyway, so I really don't see the problem!

Now that I see exactly what the OP is looking for, there is NO way I would suggest doing that.

And I'm sure tons of other stuff people could figure out from your posts that I'm not going to bother to search, especially since I read search isn't working. But google always works. They don't even need to ask you for a friend request or have one approved.

Its not hard to google your name once you provide it, and find an address for you.

Please reconsider your request.

Well, if someone wants to rob my house, they can easily find out what my working times are and then go ahead. That would be more likely then someone seeing my vacation dates on this site, see my name on Facebook and then starts looking for my address. I understand your concern but I live in a country with a very very low crime rate, so I really don't fear this at all. I have many friends on facebook who has got an open profile with their address (I don't have that) So I still don't see the problem!

Ok, then maybe you just haven't been around the internet long enough to know about the problems that some people like to cause in other people's lives when people post too much personal identifying info about themselves.

Good luck to ya is all we can say if you don't see anything wrong with it. Some people think you get what you get if you post all that out there for people to connect. I'm taking you are young and still very trusting. Good luck.

I honestly don't know how to do what you're asking OP. I think many of us are a lot more careful with our personal information.

You'd be surprised what info people can dig up with your name and location.

Oh, and I guarantee you're not the only Danish person on the DIS. It's also a big board and you don't need to be a member to view it.

Alright chiquita - in your Facebook - on your profile page - scroll down and on the left you should see 'create profile badge'

And I believe you wanna choose other - lemme see:

Alright - so you take that 'other' badge URL - and drop it into a photbucket - or similar site account - using the web url upload:

Then it will pop up and say it's not valid. Right click on that image, grab the properties, and it should work:

ETA - it did - however, I lost the linking ability. Lemme play with that.
