Hey all...planning on our first trip out to CA Sept. 16-21. Well, we decided on staying at Park View Inn to save some money and have read that particular hotel gets great reviews-just two adults and no kids. I know and wonder why DL doesn't offer PV as a good neighbor hotel on their website..strange. We want to purchase 5-day Park Hoppers and wonder how do out of town guests obtain the best deal? We have a friend who lives 30 min. from DL and don't know if he can buy them since he's a CA resident? Need your help....not buying or booking yet since it is 4 mos. away. Keeping my eyes on the air and know how much we are looking at for the total price on hotel. So, the only thing that is a huge part of the budget would be the park hoppers. Your thoughts, help and budget tips always welcome. Thank you all and have a wonderful day!

*Not really interested in the City Pass...we want to visit DL, Ocean, LA, Hollywood and whatever else we can do within that time frame. Know there are tour companies that will pick you up at your hotel. That helps...not sure how many days our friend will be able to get off work.

arestravel.com Prices just went up on Sunday, but this site is still selling with a discount, and still the same price as before the price increase. But I don't know if that will stay that way. The tickets do expire Dec 31, but if you are going in Sept, that won't be a problem.

Edit: Just checked the mousesavers website. The old ticket price discount is STILL being sold by arestravel.com but that won't last forever. If you are definitly going, I would buy the tickets now to save a few bucks if I were you.

Luckyman: Thank you for the reply...are these sites reputable? I imagine they are but never used them. Have you?

Ares, getawaytoday.com and Last Minute Travel are all reputable sites. You can also check your local AAA office or credit union.

Ares Travel is reputable. But, before you buy from them, ask your friend if his/her company have discounts. The corporate discounts a lot of Southern California companies get are the cheapest price. Whenever I have friends or family visiting, I get tickets through my work for them.

The others have had great advice on tickets, but mine is about hotel. Rates (especially at Park Vue) will likely only go up if you wait. I've watched rates there go up as much as 40% or so as the book up, and they do book up.

Hope you have a great trip:goodvibes

I'm going to DL/DCA the same dates as you, but we leave a day earlier.

I found BWPPI had a better deal for a room than PVI.

If you're looking to book flights and hotel as well, Alaska Air has some really good deals. Right now they're showing 3 day park hoppers for $192/182 if you purchase them as an add on to a package. And their package prices are really good too!
