How to get sticky stuff off skin

Any oily product will work. Olive oil, baby oil, mineral oil, bath oils, creams and lotions too. Try rubbing in circles and it usually will ball up on itself. It might take a couple attempts so you don't get his skin irritated.

I used to chuckle when people would come for out-patient surgery and have EKG patches on their sides and backs that they didn't realize had been there for days or weeks. We got those suckers off quick and soothed the skin with lotion for them.

I would avoid anything that isn't meant for skin or mild enough for skin like goo gone. It is great on glass and such but a kid's skin...nah.

Hope your son is ok. :)

Nail polish remover.

I had to wear a heart monitor for several weeks............VASELINE was the trick for me. Put it on, rub it in, then use a towel to rub it off after several minutes.

My son was in the hospital the other day and had several patches on his chest that were hooked to wires of some sort. The patches left a sticky goo on his skin. How do I get that off? I tried rubbing alcohol and it didn't help a bit. Any other ideas or do I just need to wait for it to wear off?

Try putting some oil on a washcloth. That'll work.

I 2nd the peanut butter!

Hope your little ones finger heals quickly!
