How to get special milk

Staying a week at POP in October. My 15 month old DS can only drink lactose free milk. We are flying and using Disney's transportation system all week. So...is my only option taking a taxi to the store and back? What's the closest grocery store to POP and how much do you think the taxi will cost round trip? Just wondering how much this half gallon of milk is going to cost.

My 8 yr old daughter is lactose intolerant as well. We usually just put in an order at Garden Grocer for water, LF milk and a few other essentials. They will deliver right to the resort for you! If you only need the milk then I suppose you could look at taking a cab to the nearest super walmart. That would probably cost about half as much as a grocery order.

If you really want to do this cheaply you can catch the Lynx bus right outside downtown disney outside the Hilton Hotel to the bottom of the road and there is a goodings grocery store. The Lynx bus is $2!! It would take about 5 mins by bus to get there and they are very frequent.

Is Silk (Soy Milk) lactose free? If you can use Silk you can pick it up at the stores at any DVC resort. I thought I saw some last month at SSR so I checked the DVC website. They have it at Boardwalk, Beach Club, Saratoga Springs, Old Key West, etc. This is from the DVC website:
Silk - Soy Milk 8.25 oz. $2.19. Hope this helps.

We use garden grocer to deliver the foods for my child with multiple food allergies.

We used to use the drops in regular milk that made it lactose free. They were called Lactase Drops, and I believe they also have a brand called Lactaid.
