An annoying tool bar has attached itself to my pc. It has just gotten even worst. Now it highlights certain words on message sites and turns them into sales links. How can I get rid of this. I ran spyware program and it detected what seemed to be the problem and removed them. As soon as I went on line it was back. It keeps generating pop-ups and other junk. Please help. By the way I had google toolbar, run adaware and all sorts of other stuff regularly. I donl't know how I got this.

See if you can find it in your 'add and remove program' option..and remove it from there.

Did you run spybot, ad-aware and spysweeper?

Try running all three and don't forget to update them first. There are times when spybot will catch what ad-aware doesn't and vice versa.

Also, you might want to download Mozilla or Opera as a backup browser while you're working on cleaning up IE.

I just spent a week trying to get all of this junk off of my computer. I ran Ad-aware and Spybot Search and Destroy 1.3 then OmegakillerSM. Then I removed a program called Windows Search from the Add/Remove Programs in my control panel and I haven't had a problem since. Just remember to restart after you run each spyware program. You can do a search through Google and it will tell you where to download the programs.
