How does everyone deal with coming home and knowing that only a few days ago you were have the time of your life?? This is the part I hate the most about vacations. I know it will be at least 2 years before I go back and I'm having a hard time dealing with it. How does everyone else deal with this???

My heart goes out to you ((hugs)) ~

I went through this once when my entire family returned home from a fabulous Caribbean cruise. I was so depressed.. because I knew that even if we traveled back to the islands, it wouldn't be like our family trip.

Why wait 2 years to go back to WDW? Maybe you could squeeze in a mini-vaca?

By planning my next trip, be it Disney World, or elsewhere, and by visiting the boards to read others trip reports and keep up on the latest news and tips.

You say you're going back in 2 years. That's not too soon to start planning your next trip. You could start a "lay away plan" and pay little by little on your next Disney vacation. Disney will be glad to take your deposit and any other payments that follow, now. At least you'll have your room reserved and some concrete plans in the works. It works for me:D

I feel your pain!! I think it's one of the hardest things in the world to do. We are actually starting the process of buying DVC. If that's not for you, then start planning the next trip down!! I have to be always planning a trip!!! I think that's the next best thing to being there.

But, I agree w/ the post-ers who said to start planning your next trip. And get your film developed as soon as possible. Then you can put an album together w/ fun captions & any other things you do to preserve your memories. For example, I like to put my entry passes into my albums. See you at WDW!

Well money isn't the issue. I would work double time if I had to to go back soon. The DW is pregnant with our 2nd child and there is just no way we can go back until our 2nd child is around 2 years old. I've thought about DVC but we actually come out ahead by buying unused points from people who need to get rid of them fast.

Now there's reason enough to be thrilled! A new baby makes the time fly by like nothing else can! Congratulations!
