How to get my AP

Ok, so I purchased my AP online through MDE. It is sitting in my account and I have actually made some FPs.

So,what do I do when I arrive at WDW? (on a Monday). I'm staying in the Epcot area, so I think I have to go to the ticket center at the International gate, right? Do I actually "get" something there? I'm assuming it is an AP card, correct? If so, when will it be activated? Right then? Please note that I do NOT plan on going into a park until Wednesday.

Yes, if you're staying at an Epcot resort the most convenient place to go is to GR or the ticket booth at the IG. Bring your ID (required) and the CC you used to buy your AP (may or may not need it). They'll give you an AP card that is both your AP ticket (handy in case the MB reader system goes down) and your AP discount card (required, along with your ID, to take advantage of AP discounts).

And yes, your AP will be activated that same day, even though you don't use it to enter a park that day. If you don't want to activate it until Wednesday, just wait until then to go to any ticket booth or GR location.

You activate them just outside the gates at the Magic Kingdom, right? Go past security and then to the ticket window on the right hand side?

Security is now at the TTC, resort or bus stop.

But I've heard AP's can be activated at any ticket windows (TTC.)

You can also activate them at Disney Springs, if you plan to go there before your park days!

Just be aware that if you activate Monday, but don't enter until Wednesday, you're effectively "wasting" two days of your AP cycle. If this doesn't matter for your anticipated use of your pass - then go for it!
