How to Get In?

Hi,

I'm having a hard time understanding the turnstile part. We will get park hoppers the day before we go from Shades of Green. When we get to the turnstile, will we get pictures there for reentry and fast pass purposes?

When you enter the parks you scan your magic band and your fingerprint. That's how they know the band belongs to you. Park entry is the only time you do your fingerprint.

Fast passes are linked to your magic band. You scan that when you get in line for the specific attraction.

Do they get magic bands at SOG? If not, then they would use their plasctic ticket for FPs.

There are no pictures at WDW. You will use the tickets Shades of Green gives you and when you get to the entry point you with touch the ticket to the post with Mickey's head on it. At the same time you put a finger on the biometric scanner and that becomes linked to the ticket. That finger will be how you prove you are you going forward when you park hope or enter the parks.

For FP you can link the tickets to your My Disney Experience account from your phone when you get them and book FP+ immediately or you can wait until you get the the park each day to make FP reservations at a kiosk. There should be someone at Shades of Green who can help you if you need it. I suggest linking the tickets as soon as you get them.

When is your trip? You can pay a small fee and have already activated military tickets sent to you ahead of time from Shades of Green. If you go that route you can link your tickets and make FP reservations starting 30 days in advance.

Also, remember that "green means go." There are times when it is crowded and the CMs will be busy monitoring everybody. There are two tap points per side. Just walk up to the next available one, scan ticket and finger (remember to use the same finger every time), and once it turns green, just keep walking, even if the CM does not acknowledge you. If there is something wrong they will stop you, otherwise you are good to go.
