What is the easiest possible way to get there? Do the buses run at 7am? Is that enough time to eat and get to Epcot before it opens at 9am?

Just wondering from anyone who has done this before!
Thanks!

Are the taxis very expensive?
Do you go to the front desk and ask them to call?:)

It's probably around $15 from POR to Poly. Just go to the bell services stand and ask them to call a taxi. If there is not one already waiting - then it will probably take about 5 minutes to get one there.

You can take a bus. We did this from AKL for our 7:30 a.m. ADR at Ohanas a few weeks ago. The buses start running at 6:45, so we got to our bus stop a little before 7:00. The driver asked us where we were going and dropped us off at the Poly. It worked out great and saved us cab fare!

I second the cab. Its just the easiest thing to do and this way you will not be nervously waiting for a bus.

We're planning on taking a taxi for our Kona breakfast. Easier than taking a bus early to a park, then to the Poly and less of a hassle.

OK... sounds like it will be a taxi.
But, anyone else have advice on the buses? Do you think it will be stressful to try and get from the park to the Poly?

DW hates how I plan out getting around via the buses and it is a pain for resort to resort ADR. I'd be at the stop early as they usually start rolling shortly after 6:30. You want the MK bus .. then just monorail to Poly. We have been taking taxi / town car more often just for DW's sanity so she can have extra getting ready time and not feel so rushed getting around.

It stinks if you miss the bus as you wind up waiting. I would add don't stress out if your late - it's not a hard set reservation.

You mentioned being at a park? Where are you coming from?

I am sorry, I forgot to answer the other part of the question.

We just ate at Kona a couple weeks ago and it was very quick...maybe got out of there in about 30 - 40 minutes. I do think you will get to the park around nine, no problem. :)

So, take a taxi to the Poly and then bus to EPCOT...should work out fine.

ETA: The food was great at Kona. The pressed coffee was really good as was the Lilikoi juice. I had the poached eggs with ham hash...yum! I posted a few pics on the food porn thread if you haven't seen them.

Oh... I was thinking that AFTER we got on a bus to MK from POR-----how long of a wait to actually get to the Poly?
Thanks so much for your info! :flower3:
I actually agree with your wife.... more time to get ready=happy wife (and daughter for us...now that she's 12!)

From where the bus drops you at MK, you can get on the monarail or even just walk over to the Poly. Walking would be about 7 - 10 minutes, depending on speed! (with toddlers, probobably 10)

Someone else posted the bus driver asked where they were having breakfast, and they were dropped off at the Polynesian directly. If you were dropped off at the MK and had to take the resort monorail to the Polynesian, sure that works.

But if you're going to Epcot afterwards....I would walk to the TTC and take the Epcot monorail from there. ;)

I didn't know that you could walk? I figured it was bus or monorail.
If walking... is there something (ie. a Poly sign or pathway) to look for?
