We are renting a car for our January trip instead of doing the disney transportation everywhere. We are also staying at the pop. Are there any driving directions that show how to get from the pop to each of the parks or can they give that to you when you check in? Is it relatively easy to get around?

Thanks,
Debbie

They'll give you a general property map, but there are BIG signs all over the property.

Or you can map it out even before you leave home because the map of property that they give you is not to scale and, in my opinion, not that easy to make any sense of.

If you have a GPS, AllEarsNet.com has downloadable files for most major GPS manufactures that contain every point of interest you'd ever need for the WDW area.

I was looking to map it out but having trouble with addresses on mapquest.

I don't have a gps.

Thanks,
Debbie

We stayed at POP for the first time this past June. It was also our first time renting a car. It was incredibly easy getting around to all the parks and DTD! :) No problems at all. And having our own car saved us soooo much time. DH and I were both so surprised at the freedom and flexibility of having our own car. We both agreed we will never travel to the World without renting a car.

Getting around property is very easy as they sign everything. I lived in Tampa and had an AP. I stayed at POP every time I stayed the night and it is not hard at all to get around. I would spend a little time on Bing Maps using the birds eye view to get familiar with the area if you have any doubt. It is a great tool and gives you a bit better perspective than straight over-top like aerial view does.
