I've never been to Disneyworld, but when I do get the chance to go I know I'm going to want to go to Universal Studios, and the Harry Potter land. I know the Park Hopper tickets don't include those, but do the hotels offer transportation there? Or would we need to take a cab? :confused3

Harry Potter is at Universal. So separate cost for the tickets.

If you are staying at a WDW Resort you will need to drive your own car/ Rental car or take a Taxi over there. If you are not staying at a WDW resort/ off site some hotels do offer transportation to and from the parks, not sure on if there is a cost with that, it will vary between hotels, you will need to check out there web sites for that info.

We took a cab from Caribbean Beach over to Universal and it was $28 including tip. They had cabs waiting on standby for when someone needed one, so they were able to flag one over and we didn't have to wait at all. Very easy.

We took a cab from saratoga springs resort to universal last November. It was 36 dollars. There is a cab stand right in front of universal , so getting back is really easy also.

Mears has bus pick up and drop off, they were great! Super comfy buses and the drivers are great, some play trivia games or movies! They go to all the resorts and you just call about 2 hours before you're ready to leave a Universal! Both Harry Potter areas are absolutely stunning!! We always spend 3 out of 10 days at Universal, but would highly recommend at least 2 days. Plus we splurge for the VIP ticket, all rides except Harry Potter's 2 main rides are unlimited jump to the front of the line! Which allows us to open each park at least once to head straight to the HP areas at rope drop, and in Oct we can usually get 2-3 rides on either HP ride before lines get crazy, then we have the rest of the day to ride whatever we want with minimal to no waiting with VIP ticket!

We've taken MEARS several times and we've never had a hotel picked up after us, but once they dropped off at a water park before universal studios. On average it's about a 30 min trip, we always take the earliest bus bc we like being there at least an hour early bc the Forbidden Journey and Gringotts aren't part of the express pass. On the trip back we've had a pick up at the water park and a drop off or 2, but I'd still guess it was 30-40 min. If you've never been to Universal, there's a loooong walk from the bus stop to the entrances. Island of Adventures is on the left and Studios is on the right!

We've always used the Mears shuttle bus also, booking a day or two in advance from the concierge desk at our WDW resort. If I remember correctly it was just under $20 return per person plus tip. Sometimes it drops people off at Sea World first which adds a few minutes to the trip, but I feel safer using it than a taxi, I've heard people have had bad experiences where their taxi drivers have taken strange longer routes to drive the price up. I agree, the Mears drivers are usually great! The last one we had got out at AKL with us & started pointing out Hidden Mickeys I never knew even existed!
