Hello Everyone! I hope everyone's planning has been going well. My fiance and I have decided to have our reception/dinner at Fulton's (thank you to Barbie! :goodvibes ). Our only problem now is how we're going to get our guests from the Swan/Dolphin to Fulton's? :confused3 We're on a budget so we can't afford to have a limo take all 15-20 guests to the site and wait 3 hours until its done. Any other suggestions? TIA! :)

This is kind of off subject, but --- are you doing private dining at Fulton's? I was kind of wondering about having my intimate dinner there. Do you have any prices or info on Fulton's???
As far as your original question -- you could maybe call Van cabs or hire town car service??? I am not sure -- but I know someone here can help you!!!

the swan & dolphin has free buses to dtd just like the disney resorts. you would just take the downtown disney bus & get off at the marketplace or pleasure island.

or you could use a towncar. were doing that for our rehearsal dinner its $15 each way from hotel to hotel, with mears transportation in orlando.

I read several other people did the whole Town Car thing and came out ahead. Definitely try that out for size

hfehr1s,

I contacted Fulton's in December about having our reception there. They have a private room on the third floor with windows on three sides and its own bar. It seats 40, and it is quite nice from the photos. They originally told me it was $1100 minimum for food and beverages. Their menus are reasonable beginning at about $38 (alcohol is extra). Overall, it would have cost us about $80pp (we had an upgraded menu). I called yesterday to make arrangements for our dinner on Memorial Day after the intimate ceremony. My contact informed me that the food and beverage minimum had gone up to $2500. That was much more than we wanted to spend at Fultons ($125pp). So we are looking into other options, such as an Epcot party. Honestly, I don't know if the minimum is $2500 every day or just our date (since it is a holiday). I would give them a try. They are very nice and are willing to help you make the event a success. If you PM me, I can send over the menus that I received and the photo of the room. Good luck!

Hello. Who are you doing the town car through that makes it that cheap? We would love to do something like that. Any info you could give would be great!

were using mears for our rehearsal dinner http://www.mearstransportation.com/index.htm, each towncar fits 4 & is costing us $15 each way per towncar.

another option we considered was absolute limo which fit 10 & was $60 each way.

best of luck & happy planning!

The other option would be to contact Mears directly and ask what they can offer. I know as a company they do the shuttle buses, limos, taxis and towncars so if you let them know your budget they may be able to help!

Thank you everyone! We have decided to go with Mears Transportation. They quoted us within our budget! TY TY TY

I was at a baton twirling competition in Disney World a couple of weeks ago. We took a van style taxi that fits 7 from our Resort to the Disney Wide World of Sports it cost $12.00. One was parked outside of the resort and he called for two more vans. I asked him about going to DTD since I am going to have my reception at the Portabello Yacht Club in August he said it would only be a few dollars more.

if i read it correctly somewhere in the transportation forum, there are usually MEAR and cabs standby at the Dolphin. Cheaper to pay by round trip fare I think. But make prior reserveration for large groups.. we might use them..not sure yet.

here's Swan/Dolphin toll free # 800 227 1500
