How to get FP if someone needs to go to their room?

I was thinking that while my husband took DD back to our hotel room I could go get us another fast pass and then meet them at the room later, but since your room key is also your park ticket, how can I do that? How can he get in the room if I take his card to go get him a FP?

If he has a picture ID and he is on the reservation, they will issue him a new room key at the front desk.

Is your DD 3 or above? My kids always have their own keys, but they do not have the charging privileges on them. I THINK they unlock doors, but I could be wrong.

When we have had to get a new key card, they deactivate the 1st one when they issue the 2nd one.

Why not just get the fastpasses before he goes back?

Don't put your tickets on your room key.

The person must have entered the park at some time with his ticket in order for to use it for a fastpass. last summer my mom and kids were in the room (BCV) and I went in Epcot to get soarin fastpasses. Well...only mine worked in the machine for the fastpasses because the system showed that they were not in the park since their passes had not been put throught the Epcot entrance ticket thing last.
