Have you ever had this problem? Tonight I was vacuuming and the vacuum went nuts. It cause a lot of dust to fill the room. Now I've been up all night coughing and trying to get the dust out of my lungs. It is very similar to when I have been around a lot of people smoking.

What can I really do? Any suggestions?

Thanks Dan! I'll try that. I've lost so much sleep tonight from all the coughing.

Ugh! I'm miserable.:faint:

Go to the Dr. and get an inhaler. It will help heal any inflammation in your lungs before anything gets worse. You may also need some cough medicine.

As a volunteer fireman for almost 40 years, we used to get this all the time before we had to wear air packs (at least for the smoke part). It generally took about three days for everything to clear without any medical assistance. There's no telling what permanent damage might have been done, though. However, just as air packs are mandatory now, I'm sure there are better ways to treat this. Check with your doctor.

I just wanted to say Thank You to those of you who replied. I'm going to give it the "3 days" my lungs need to get back to normal. If I'm still wheezing/coughing then I will make an appointment!

I'm going to try to get a good nights rest tonight, and hopefully I'll feel better in the morning.

Thanks Dis'ers!

My neice was in a fire and they told her it would just take time to clear them out. But a call to your doctor couldn't hurt.
