How to get broken appliances picked up and dumped??

Our town has bulk pickup once a month and anything really big like furniture/appliances etc gets put out at the curb and picked up then.
Check and see if your town does bulk pick up.

I find that if I put out WAY to much garbage or if I have not bundled it up that a couple bucks makes it magically ok for the garbage men to take it LOL.....I had a bunch of stuff on the side of my house that I hadn't brought down to the curb and they went up and took it all for me (and it was A LOT since we were doign a renovation) for 25.00! Otherwise it would have taken me weeks to put it out a little at a time. We have pick up 4 times a week -twice for garbage/junk. once is lawn waste/branches/grass/leaves and the other is cans/papers.

We call our refuse company and tell them what we will be putting out and they make sure they have enough men to haul it away on our regular pick up day.
