Hi everybody,

I haven't flown in awhile (years), and the airline I have always used in the past is not flying on the days I need it to. What is the best way to go about securing the cheapest rate? My trip is in May and I need to fly out of Chicago--should I be looking and booking now? Should I go to each individual airline site and sign up for e-mails--or would that be a waste of time? I'm really kind of clueless as to the process. I've been trying to read through old posts. Are there any that have all the airline tricks in one place that I've missed??

Thanks!!!!

I'm not a frequent flyer either.

I used Hotwire for ours. The only problem I've had is that Airtran keeps changing our flight times. :headache:

I booked in July for January, so I don't think the fight schedule is set in stone that far out. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think so.

We're going again in March with the older kids, and I'll use Hotwire again, but I'm waiting til the last minute to book. Maybe that'll make a difference to our times being changed.

Hope this helps a little!
