How to get back to Disney from Thrifty

We are coming from a few days in Southern Fla for a week at the World. We were planning on dropping off the rental car at the MCO Thrifty and using Disney transportation since we are staying onsite. I was wondering what would be the best way to get back to the BCR after dropping the car off? I could shell out the $ to rent the car for another week but I'd rather spend it on MNSSHP!

We did this exact scenario last year. Spent a few days with in-laws then off to Disney. Here is what we did.

Stopped at Resort, checked in and dropped of our luggage

Drove to the Thrifty at MCO - it is about 1.5 - 2 miles off location but very easy to find.

Took Thrifty shuttle back to MCO

Went downstairs, checked in with ME, got in our resort line and got on a ME bus to our resort.

Simple and it worked out great. When we made our ressies with ME we told them what we were doing and our "arrival" time was a 4 hour window.

BTW we will be doing this again this upcoming trip.

I was thinking of doing that. However, as a rookie planner, I was worried that it would take hours to follow that plan. I'm not necessarily a commando but I don't want to excessively waste any magic time!!
