How to get a window seat?

Hi - Is it possible to guarantee a window seat while making a PS? This may be a silly question but I was always under the impression that PS would just get you the next available table for your group.

I want to celebrate an early Mother's Day and 4 May birthdays by having a special meal at either Narcossee's or Calif. Grill during the fireworks. Obviously having a window seat would be a top priority.

I've asked several times when making solo PS, and always told that they couldn't handle requests for certain seating. Once, I showed up about 15-20 minutes early for my PS time and said I'd wait for a window seat-fortunately they (Chef's de France) had one right away.

We got a window seat at Narcoosees by making the 1st PS for the evening at 5:30... had no trouble, at all... just show up about 15 minutes early... and let them know that it is a special dinner, and that if at all possible you would like a window seat... don't be pushy or demanding, though... you get more flies with honey... so to speak!

Central Reservations can't take special seating requests...sorry!

You can't do it in advance. When you get to the restaurant, just tell the person at the check-in podium that you would like a window seat. You may have to wait a little longer for one to become available.
