how to get a discount at BWPPI?

I would have spelled that all out in the title, but then I figured, whoever knows about discounts there would know the abbreviation for it too. *snort*

Anyway... I'm trying to plan a trip and there are no Kids Suites available at HoJo which is our first choice, so I'm checking other places. I'm looking at a mini suite at BWPPI and the online price I'm getting seems high... anyone know any tricks to getting a better rate there? Have never stayed there and hear such good things about it here on the DIS...

In the drop down menu where it says best available rate, there are a few options. AAA will get you a discount, but if you have a costco membership, you can get the same rate as AAA, just make sure you book through costco travel website. OK? or should I say Okay?

I hope somebody knows how to get some discounts because this is where we usually stay when we go to DL. We use the Costco rate, but I would also love to hear about any other ways to get a discount.

You can let them know when you book or check in that you are a AAA member or costco member.

Not sure which site you checked, but sometimes the prices are different directly through the PPI site vs the generic BW site. When I've looked on the direct site, they've had AAA, 7/14/21 day in advance and a no car discount. They're not always available, but it's worth a shot.

Forgot something ~ on the direct site, some of the better discounts only go out so far, so that's a minus and you'll have to check more frequently.

If you don't have a car, the no car rate can save you quite a bit of money...not just no parking fees, but also money off the room rate (I think like $30!). It's too bad we always drive! That is in addition to the AAA rate, or whatever other rate. you have.

BWPPI also does the Entertainment rate. We got it for 2 nights in September for $99 per night. I called the hotel directly and asked.

If you're a Best Western Rewards member, they sometimes have good deals through the actual Best Western site (as opposed to the BWPPI site).

But the no car deal is the best discount going, if you're not driving.

I used a code I found on Retailmenot.com. I think it was MVP. The discount was 10%. Anytime I am doing an online transaction and there is a place that says Promocode I do an online search for it. Works out most of the time.
