How to fit Ana and Elsa in with other attractions?

Anyone experience the Frozen character visit lately and able to other recommended early morning attractions? Will in each park for 2 days during the last week in August. Hoping DD11 changes her mind! We are staying at Grand Californian.

We will have 2 MMs in DL so we're planning to use the first one for rides and the second one for meeting Anna and Elsa - my kids are 7 and 4 though, so not as easy to get them to change their minds compared to an 11 year old.

With the exception of Peter Pan, the other Fantasyland rides didn't seem to have to long of lines first thing in the morning. The CMs actively encourage guests to leave one person in the A&E line and then have the other adult(s) take the kids to do other rides. I'd consider taking the kids to do the other Fantasyland rides while one person waits for A&E. Then check in after every ride to see where the A&E line holder is and whether there is time for another ride.

On our EMH at DL last Tues, we went straight to PP and my mom went straight to the Elsa & Anna meet & greet. We joined her after that and in all was in line for 30 mins before we saw them. At the point we were going in, so 7:35ish they were quoting the wait at 4 hrs. So if you can send somebody over to wait, I would do that. We were also able to see just Anna with an hour wait at about 5 pm on the Sat before (DH waited in line while I did rides with the kids).

They did for us when it was only Anna. They were making sure it was very clear it was only her before got in line. The morning it was both of them, I don't think anything was said, but DD did a slow walk by the door and was able to peak inside and see.

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like splitting up is a smart thing to do! This will be our first time to DL. Is there a shortcut to take to get to the A&E line? Would it be smart to book a breakfast in the park the day we want to see A&E?

Breakfast in the park will probably not help. What will help? Being first at your turnstile(for us, this meant about an hour before park opening). And sending one person in your group to "hustle" down mainstreet for the A&E line. When we were there at the start of the month, they were holding up a sign for those that were going to the meet and walked this line back into FL about 10 mins. before park opening. I'll also add, if you run, they will yell at you to stop. But they won't stop you either. Try to jog or speed walk as fast as possible and you should be in good shape.

And, what if only Anna is there? It sounds like if there's only one there, it's normally Anna - and my DD loves Elsa!

Kind of depends on where you end up in the A&E line. If you get to the front of that line, they really need to be with you when the line gets walked back into FL. If you are not that close to the front of the line, then it does not matter as much as you will be waiting some anyway and they can catch up to you.

You do need to be prepared for the fact that you might only meet one sister. While park opening should be a good chance to meet both, we were first in line and only met Anna.

I would add that there are very important safety reasons that running (or jogging or speed walking) is not allowed in the parks. Just because the CMs are not authorized to tackle you because you ignore the instructions being yelled at you does not mean that you should risk your family's vacation by potentially injuring yourself, or risk another family's vacation by potentially injuring someone else's child. If CMs are yelling at you to stop doing something, STOP DOING IT.

Alternatively, take a good long look in the mirror and ask yourself what kind of person would put small children at risk for the chance to spend 60 seconds with some struggling actress dressed up like a cartoon character.

THANK YOU!! I would NEVER wait more than 5 minutes to meet a Disney character, and neither would anybody in my family. This running/jogging nonsense is crazy. So is this Frozen hysteria. THANK YOU!! I would NEVER wait more than 5 minutes to meet a Disney character, and neither would anybody in my family. This running/jogging nonsense is crazy. So is this Frozen hysteria. The only thing I like about it is apparently it will reduce bottlenecks at other attractions when I'm there next month.

I don't like waiting to meet characters either, but my kids do, so we do it.
And it won't reduce lines at any other attractions. It only takes a couple hundred people to get this line to hours in length. Have a great trip!

I'm sure there was nobody who thought that you personally were running or jogging so fast that the CMs yelled at you to stop but you ignored them. I am also certain that you did not mean the phrase, "try to jog" as advice to others that they should also run through the parks. Only a selfish monster with profoundly twisted priorities would post advice like that on a message board.

Whereas you are a reasonable, responsible, safety-conscious individual who has never been yelled at by CMs. Please go on enjoying your life, secure in the knowledge that you did not just admit to being a horrible person.
