We are looking for a villa for December 2008.

Can anybody recommend where to look or a villa they have been in, as the one we have picked for this November is already booked for December 2008

Along the US27 would be great as we are used to staying up there.

Can't believe we are already making changes!!

Hi Anna,

Whilst there are many nice homes along the US27 we personally prefer the Kissimmee/192 location especially around Formosa Gardens area.

We are very friendly with the owners of a home at Indian Creek and this is where we generally stay for part of the holiday.

We just booked a Windsor Hills (off 192) townhouse through http://www.vrbo.com/. Not sure about the 27 but here are some villa booking sites.

These sites were recommended to me (by Johnny and others).

You could also try www.homeaway.com as it gives you lots of options or requirements in order to reduce your search. Another good site as Poppyanna says is www.ownersdirect.co.uk

The big one the Americans are into is www.vrbo.com which has hundreds of villas but you probably really need to know what resort you would like or you could be looking at properties for weeks

Good luck finding something. More and more people are budgeting ahead and making their arrangements well in advance so I would snap up the next one you want before anyone else.

Do you want to stay on the same complex as the one you have booked - that may narrow down the search

We have used these people in the past, they have a reasonable amount of property around the US27.
Des, I think, was very helpful in getting us the low level of detail we wanted prior to booking.

They are US based and it can give some advantage given the £/$ rate but also be aware they prefer direct transfer into their account in $ which can cost a small amount depending on your bank.

Windsor Hills has some great reviews - it is closer than US27 so may be more expensive. There is a site that lists owners properties there at www.windsorhillsrent.com

They also offer a free membership to Sam's club. I realize some of you may not know what that is...it is a large discount store that sells items in large quantities for a very reasonable price. You have to be a member (hence the free membership) and they have everything from soda pop to personal hygiene products to everything in between. Even if you don't think you will use the membership to purchase items like this you will definately use it for gasoline purchases. They have some of the cheapest gas around but you have to be a member to purchase it at the discounts. Trust me when I say this alone will say you a bunch of money.

Plus - each Villa is equiped with FREE high speed wireless Internet Access so you can keep in touch with family and friends at home.

Mention that you saw them on the DIS Boards and they will leave an extra suprise in your Villa.
