We always meant to go to Shula's, and our next trip we want to finally go, but I don't know dressy I need to be. The website says business casual, but if you've been, how did everyone dress? Would I be okay in nice slacks & blouse? Or do I need a skirt or dress? To dress up I'll need to bring an extra pair of shoes. And do men wear polo shirts, or do they need a tie? Thanks for the input.

A nice blouse and slack will fit in just fine. Your Dh could wear a polo and slacks and he'd be great too. IMHO Shula's is a bit more upscale than most of the regular Disney signatures. I wouldn't wear jeans to Shulas

It's a nicer place than most WDW places...but, you're still at WDW!

If I was eating at a similar place outside of WDW or in Orlando I would dress up more...

I'm planning on going in May. I may wear jeans, just depends on the day, etc.

Hi! We stay at the Dolphin almost every year (okay sometimes 3x a year). For Shula's DW says (and i agree), you will be just fine in slacks and a blouse. No need for a dress and the hassle of bringing extra shoes. People dress down there more than you would think. DW and i tend to like to dress up just for the fun of it, but you'll even see people in there with jeans. Men: no tie! I'd do a collared shirt (three button polo even) and khakis.

:dancer: This dancing fanatic is a bit over dressed :)

My son and I ate at Shula's over the President's Day weekend. The food was as good as any steakhouse we have been to in NYC or Boston. More people should eat there!

You don't need a dress or skirt and men don't need ties. Just a nice shirt and pants should be fine. I would just avoid jeans, really short shorts, or anything else that you would wear into a theme park (best comparision of clothes)

My best advice...wear something 2 size too big!!!
The food is great, large portions and make sure you order the chocolate souffle before you order dinner...yummy!

on my list for July. I will pack some of XXL shirts.

Slacks and a nice blouse are fine. I've dined there several times and have seen people dressed in everything from shorts and flipflops to tuxedos and cocktail dresses. I've worn dresses on occasion and also jeans with a nice blouse and heels. Don't worry about it and enjoy the food. Really really really great steak. I also love the potato pancake.

Have a great time !!

We love Shula's and dress nicely but not as nice as we would if going to V&A's. The food is great and since we got engaged there the restaurant has special meaning to us.

I have been to our hometown Shulas a few times and it is just like any other high end Steakhouse (ie Ruth Chris, Mortons etc..). No shorts and T shirts but you don't need coat and tie either. Nice shirt/blouse and slacks is perfect but you could wear jeans and a nice shirt/blouse also if need be.

I agree that you shouldnt wear park clothes...

But, I'm not sure you have to dress up totally either...you're still at WDW!

Jeans, Khaki's, button downs, polo shirts...

When DH and I went to Shula's....I wore nice capris and a fancier type matching tank top. DH wore black jeans and a polo shirt. We really enjoyed our meal and the service was awesome. I also agree, order the choc. molten lava cake.....my hubby still dreams about it!!!

They also have a nice selection of wines. Our server gave us great wine suggestions, which were actually better tasting and less expensive that DH's first choice.

We've been there several times.

DH & DS11 always wear their matching Disney polos with black shorts & Tevas.

DD & I wear our matching Disney tops (kind of dressy) with black shorts & sandals.

I suggest you wear something that says 'new york jets' :rotfl2:
