How to do: HDDR then MK for Mickey's Christmas

In December we have 4:00 for the Hoop Dee Doo. Then we have tickets to the Magical Christmas at MK. That ticket gets us into MK after 4. We'd like to HDDR first, then go directly to MK for the late day Christmas entry. So my questions are about parking and strategy:

1. We're staying at Hilton Bonnet Creek. Do we take the Hilton bus to MK, and can we take the boat to Wilderness without entering the MK park (our ticket lets us in after 4)?

2. Or do we drive and park at MK, then do the same (boat).

3. Or something else I'm not thinking of.

1. Yes. (Yes, the MVMCP tickets are good any time after 4PM.)

2. You can do that, if you want to pay for parking.

3. You've got two good plans, there.
BTW, leave your resort 90-120 min. before you want to get to the Hoop.
(I don't know how often the Hilton's MK bus runs, but don't be late.)

The Hilton bus and parking will both put you at TTC/MK parking.
You then need to take the monorail or ferry to MK gates area.
Then, board the shuttle boat to Ft. Wilderness Campgrounds.

That shuttle boat let's you out very near Pioneer Hall/Hoop-Dee-Doo.

After the Hoop, take shuttle boat to get back to MK.

I don't want to discourage you, but thought you might want to know, it could very well be close to 7:00 before you get through the gates at MK. HDDR lasts about two hours, then you have to get back to MK. So you'll be missing the "free" hours of the party from 4-7. If you're hoping to see some of the special characters, you'll be at the end of some long lines by the time you get to them.

I agree with Robo. I wouldn't do them both the same night if I could help it. But, if those are not changeable plans, follow his advice for transportation. He knows what he's talking about!
