I love my alone time. I like to eat in resaurants solo. I bring a book, or a magazine, and if I feel like reading it, I do, if I feel like people watching, I do.

I would love to do a solo trip to WDW. I had never even thought of it, until reading this board, but for the past few months, I have been thinking about how to figure it into my schedule. I think 3 nights/4 days would be a perfect solo trip for me.

I would love to do a solo trip (especially in the summer, when DH is working 24/7 and I am alone most of the time). How have you convinced your family that a solo trip is OK? In addition to DH being concerned, I would also expect questions from my mom, dad, sisters.

Help!

DH told me to go to get away.. Unfortuntly I planned my trip from Sep 10-15 during which there was the terrorist attacks and Tropical Storm Gabrielle.....other than that it would have been a wonderful solo trip.......see my reports on the trip reports forum :) Good Luck it's great fun!Day 2 Day 5 Day 4 day 3 day 1

DH is very encouraging and supportive of my upcoming solo trip to DisCon. It's my first big solo "adventure", and I'm a little nervous, more so of course, since the events of Sept. 11th. It's almost like a test, to see how I manage. I suspect he has his eye on some high priced electronics to compensate for his staying home! ;) :)

Good luck, I hope you get to plan a solo trip soon!

DH secretly surprised me with my first solo trip. He knows I love Disney (he "tolerates" it) and needed to get away. However, since then I've chosen to take 3 more solo trips. and if he ever says anything (which he hasn't) about the money, I'd just remind him of all the times I'm home alone (he golfs and travels a lot in his job).

Thanks for the responses! I think it will probably a few years before I get to try a solo trip, but I will do one sooner or later.
