How to deal with "MY" Addonitis - now or later

I borrowed from next year's points for a trip this summer. Now, I'm realizing I should actually add-on points. If I add them now, can I bank the new points into next year (since my trip this year is already covered with the borrowed points)? OR is my one transfer up for the year, and the add-on points will be wasted for this year - meaning I should wait until my next UY to add-on.

Transfers and banking are two different things. You can only transfer points from different accounts once per year, but you can bank as many times as you want as long as it is within your banking window. To answer your question, You could add on now and still bank those points in your new contract. We just did that ourselves.

We added on back in May of 2007 (August UY) and our guide let us bank the points since our banking window had come and gone that January. You shouldn't have a problem banking them.
