We are leaving for the World in 2 months and my father is going with us. The problem is, he snores, LOUD! Last time he went with us we tried the breathrite strips and tellin him to lay certain ways in bed but it didn't work. He snored every night and kept waking everyone up except for himself. We'd wake him up and tell him to shut up, but he'd fall asleep before any of us could and it would start again. We have two rooms this time and we are going to be switching him between rooms each night, but thats still means numerous sleepless nights for each of us. Have any of you found ways to help get you through the night? I've considered taking sleeping pills but I don't want to be oversleeping on my vacation due to already being exhausted from the parks as it is and then adding a pill on top of that. HELP DIS'ers, HELP!!!

Not sure what would work. But I do feel for you.

Now that we've been together for 13 years, I just go to the spare bedroom. He agrees it's not worth me being grouchy and there's no way of getting him to do a sleep study! Believe me there's been nights that I've really done the plug his nose or covering his mouth.....nothing works!!!
Don't try that though, you may get slapped!!!
Invest in a couple packs of ear plugs and hope for the best...good luck!
I'd also try the sleep machine/or fan....good luck!
