How to "contact" BWI prior to stay to ask for a "preference"?

Okey, dokey, so, our trip is scheduled for March 6th, yippee. We got an AWESOME upgrade to The Boardwalk since POFQ will still be closed for refurbishment. Now, since we are a "upgrade" can I still contact BW a week in advance and at least try to request a certain area or will they laugh at me like "be glad you're getting this place for that price!".

If I can contact them, how do I?

I'd call CRO and have your requests put on your reservation. If it is in the system, the CM at check in will see it and usually try to accomodate, if possible.

Thanks. Should I call the hotel check-in desk, too, like a lot people say?

I've never done that, but I guess it wouldn't hurt. I'd wait until a few days before arrival. Have fun! Be sure to post a review when you get back. I'm staying at BWI for the first time this summer.
