Can anyone tell me how to do a search to see if a person owns DVC points. I've done it in the past but somehow I can't find it any more.

Thanks in advance. Amy

I don't have the link handy for the Orange County Comptroller, but suggest that you use this link to confirm a rental reservation instead:

www.mydisneyreservation.com/DVC

You need the confirmation number, resort, check in date and the name of the primary guest on the reservation.

If the member doesn't own a WDW DVC resort, they won't be on the Florida OC website. You would also need their exact name as titled on the contract to find it.

FWIW, I'd rather check to see the owner actually made a reservation in my name than go through all the trouble of navigating the FL OC website.

Thank you!

If they own at the WDW resorts, you will find info here: http://www.occompt.com/ click on "Records search" in right hand column then at next page "I accept" and then put in name in the grantee section on the following page to find out.

Please make sure that you read the rental stickies at the top of the rent/trade board. The fact that a person owns points, and the fact that your reservation is there today, doesn't mean that it will be there when you go to check in.

Like any society, there will be a small percentage of members who, should we say, "make mistakes" when renting their points. The cheapest deal isn't always the best deal. :goodvibes

And there are always those, like myself, who still have their deeds registered under previous names due to marriage, death, etc. If anyone were to "check me out" they would not find me as an owner under my current name...
