Hi. I am in the process of creating an autograph book using the lovely cards designed by some of the DISigners on this site. I am planning to use the ones individualized for each character and I'll bring a few neutral extras as backup. This is my first trip (it's just my husband and me), and I'm not sure how long it takes to get an autograph and take a photo. I am a big time over planner and I have a major case of I'm going to see and do everything -itis. I printed out a character finder list from a web site (can't remember which one). It assigns a color to various characters showing how likely you are to see them. Is this the most accurate list? I feel compeled to bring a card for just about every character on the list even if its rare to see them. Do you only bring cards for characters on your must see list? Do you bring cards for all the most commonly seen characters? Do you bring a card for every character that still appears in the park no matter how rare? I hate to waste my ink and cardstock but I'm a perfectionist and don't want to miss anything. Should I aim to bring 10 cards, 50, 100? There are so many beautiful, fun autograph cards. Thanks for your suggestions!

Last fall was our first trip for autograph. I brought card for every character that I mght see. My girls ahd soo much fun looking for character to get autograph but keep in mind that some characters, you might wait for a long while befor seeing them. For Woody and Jessie we waited close to and hour and for the Fairies, it was 90 minutes to get 3 autograph. It's time consuming to get autographs and sometimes the kids get bored waiting in line. We now only bring the ones we have't gotten i nthe past and keep adding to our collections.

I have an updated list of characters currently appearing in the Parks in post #2 of the Autograph Book Thread here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2323160. Post #13 has them broken down by the likelihood of being seen. In a week long trip you will see, on average, 65-70 characters that sign. Some of the lines are quite long, so if you aren't willing to wait for long periods, I would suggest printing out the characters that are most common and then bringing a bunch of generic cards to go with them. That way you will be prepared no matter who you see! :goodvibes
