How to choose home resort

Like everyone else has said.....buy where you want to stay. We bought at AKL and have stayed there twice. Enjoyed both stays and have zero complaints.

My suggestion would be to buy where you want to stay IF you make your reservations more than 7 months in advance.

If you typically make reservations less than 7 months in advance then I would suggest buying at the resort that has the lowest overall cost of ownership.

Ask yourself "If they change the rules and I can only stay at my home resort for the next 50 years, which place would I be happier staying at for 50 years?".

I would hope Disney Vacation Club wouldn't allow this to happen. If they did then I would expect the phone to ring off the hook at The Timeshare Store, Inc.® with those looking to sell.
