How to change dining times?

We booked later than usual and only late dining is available. We will have three separate cabins booked, but linked. Is it possible for the first person there to go to Guest Services and move all three rooms or do we each have to do it separately? Anyone have experience with a large group of 7 being moved? Not sure if it is realistic.

Call now and ask for all 3 rooms to be put on the wait list. With all 3 reservations linked, one person calling for the group should be able to get all the rooms on the waitlist. If you wait until you board, your chances of getting moved are much smaller.

You don't go to guest services to ask about the change once on board. There will be a location listed in the Navigator you get at check in that lists the location and hours of where to go to request dining changes. It's usually at one of the restaurants or lounges. You should be able to ask for the change with just one person from your group going since the rooms are linked.

Get waitlisted now and you will probably be moved before your cruise.

They only make a small proportion of early seating spots available for online booking since they know it is the preferred time for families and they want to manage those spots themselves instead of allowing guests to grab them online.

They usually go through the waitlist a couple of times before the sailing, and the person at the end of the line when you call is usually not allowed to put you on the early seating directly. It’s no use to call multiple times.

We have made changes in our dining . . . even wrto Palo's the pm of the 1st day after we board.

After lunch, but before the muster drill, we went to the lounge on Deck 3 (Wonder/Magic) and a team of dining room managers were there to help.

I'll just point out OP is trying to get 3 rooms moved. It's best, at this point, to contact DCL and put all reservations on the wait list.

I don't know when OPs cruise is, but, often, calling periodically to "confirm" that they are still on the wait list can yield good results. Failing the wait list, someone needs to hightail it to the dining changes venue upon boarding to see about moving.

It's possible that OP may have to break up the group into separate tables to make the move, if they don't mind doing that.

You always offer such great advice. Thank you! I’m working with a travel agent. Does she have to be the person who calls or can I?
