Okay, first, I'm really sorry. I did post this on another thread, but it seems like I need a "strategy", so I'm posting it here, too!

I've never been to anything Disney before, and my husband just told me we're going to Walt Disney World at the end of April. I'm really excited, and trying to learn as much as I can! :earsgirl:

One of my major questions is how to carry everything?? Is there some sort of locker (like at a waterpark) you can rent where you can stash the huge tube of sunscreen and any cumbersome souvenirs you buy during the day so that you don't have to lug them around? (Obviously you wouldn't put a bunch of money in the lockers!)

How do you carry everything around? Should we just wait until the end of the day to buy any souvenirs? What kind of purse should (or shouldn't) I carry? Is my husband's wallet safe in his back pocket?

Any information you all can give me on this or similar topics would be really appreciated!! Thank you!

P.S. It's just the two of us.. no kids to carry! princess:

First of all... welcome to the DIS.

1. Each park has lockers. Not sure of the price.

2. You could lug a backpack around or a fanny pack. Either one is acceptable depending on how much you take with you.

3. If you're staying on-site, you can have your purchases delivered to the resort, therefore eliminating the need to carry stuff around all day.

If you plan on carrying your own water/water bottles, I suggest looking into the Brita Fill-n-Go.

And if you are staying off-site, you can have your packages sent to the front of the park, and you just pick them up on your way out.

It is a bit of a hassle to go to the lockers for things, as they are also all in the front of the parks. I would just carry stuff in a backpack (sunscreen, wallet, cameras, etc.).

We're staying off site.. so, if I buy something, I just ask the cashier to have it sent to the park's front? It's safe? Do I just show ID to get it when I get back to the park's front? Thanks!! :)

Yes, ask the cashier to send it to "Package Pick-Up" at the front of the park. They can tell you exactly where that is. It is usually behind a counter, and you present your receipt to pick up the package (they staple a copy of the receipt right on the plastic bag).

Takes about an hour or two for the package to get there.

Also, think TRAVEL SIZE when you are packing to go to the parks. I take a travel size kleenex, small pack of gum, travel size sunscreen, travel wipes (r the individual packaged ones), a hat on a D ring off the side, about 4 bandaids, travel advil/tylenol/aleve...whatever I can find. I usually only carry a fanny pack and can get all that in there...as well as a small wallet with my ID/Medical-Insurance cards/room key. If you feel you will need a jacket or a change of clothes, I would get a locker for that and walk up to the front of the park when you need it. Have fun!
