Hi all!

i just reserved an ECV from Walker mobility, and still need my crutches or cane for transfers and short walks.

is there any easy place i can store them or attach them to the ecv without holding them with my hands? that way i can steer with both hands.

thanks!

They make crutch holders. Another option is to use a bungee cord and attach them to the back of the seat.

I got a folding cane to take care of this issue. Folded or partially folded it fits nicely in the ECV basket or back of seat pouch. Then when I needed, I would just pull it out and it snapped itself together and away I would go.

There was a clip for crutches on the back of mine, but they kept falling out of it, so I ended up carrying the crutches between my knees.

I would ask the company that you are getting the ECV from to add one to your reservation. I would also bring some small bungie cords to help in case they don't stay in the clips. I have one on the back of my scooter.

FYI. There are 2 different types of holders. One holds they typical underarm crutches and there is another one that hold forearm crutches. You might want to specify which one you need.

thanks all!

i asked walker mobility, but apparently the Pride Go Go scooter has no option for crutch holders. so, between the knees is doable?

Use bungy cords, they can stand straight up behind your seat and loop the bungy cords crisscrossed thru the crutches, attach the hooks to the arm rest hinges.

I stand my cane up against the steering column and attach it with a couple of D rings.
