How to cancel a dining plan reservation while at WDW

I have all my reservations made for our upcoming trip. If we decide to cancel one while there - let's say the kids are too tired to go or we want to stay at the parks -- do I just call the reservation center to cancel it? Do they get up set if you cancel? Thanks!

You just call 407-WDW-DINE to cancel. Nobody got upset with you at all, but a few times when I canceled reservations they seemed to think I was crazy for canceling.

You can also visit any guest services location on property to cancel the reservation.

And if you're in your room, there's a button you can press on the phone that will directly get you to the reservation centre so you can cancel.

Be careful about cancelling. If you put a credit card down to hold the reservation, you must cancel your reservation before the cancellation deadline or you will be charged a fee. The cancellation deadlines vary according to which meal you booked. The restaurants requiring credit card guarantees are Cinderella's Royal Table and dinner shows (on dining plan, it's prepaid if you're not on dining plan), Akershus princess meals, California Grill, and the special show seating packages (Fantasmic Dining or Candlelight Processional - the Tusker House/Nemo one is new and I don't know if they require a CC guarantee on booking)

However, if there is no credit card hold involved, you can also cancel a dining reservation at ANY restaurant podium. So if you're at Animal Kingdom and have a reservation at Teppan Edo, just stop by the Tusker House podium and cancel.
