How to book your rehearsal dinner

I was hoping someone would be able to help me with my rehearsal dinner booking. I am trying to get seats at the spirit of aloha show at the Polynesian for a party of 13 adults and 2 children. However when I called to make the reservation they told me they would be unable to guarantee us to sit at the same table. They said it was the same for any Disney resort restaurant, however i was wondering if I need to book this event through my actually planner if that would allow my party to sit together.

I know people have booked rehearsal dinners at other Disney restaurants and was wondering if they could share how they booked it. For the amount of people at the dinner I would be spending almost 1000 dollars and feel it is a waste of money if they cant seat us all together.

I know for our rehearsal dinner, my MIL went through my wedding planner to book it and to manage all of the details.

the questionnaire that comes when you get assigned a planner asks about several such events (get together/welcome, bride tea) if youre interested in one and who to contact about setting it up.
