How to book with AAA discount?

Okay, I know this may have been asked, but I've searched and can't find the answer, so would someone kindly put me out of my misery and answer for me, can you book a room w/AAA discount directly through calling WDW or do you do it through AAA itself? I can't seem to find a way to do this on the AAA website. Sorry for asking a question I'm sure has been asked a thousand times! Thanks to anyone who helps me out!

you can call Disney and make AAA reservations directly thru them. I did for my vacation last year. The rate I was quoted from Disney was actually a few dollars less then I got when I checked AAA.

You don't have to book through AAA to get the AAA discount.

If you want to book ONLY a room reservation you can call Disney directly and do it yourself. If you want to book a package with tickets and dining plan you have to go through AAA.

I am planning a last minute trip over spring break - 3/30 - 4/5. When I called Disney, there were no rooms available. On the AAA website, POP was going for $121.00 a night. I contacted my local AAA office and they told me they only booked packages and all that was available for my dates was the Boardwalk for 2 people for $3,700.00!!!

I called membership services at 1 800 922 8228 to book the room as the booking on the website was not going through. After talking to an awesome agent named James, he was able to book POP for me for $92.00 a night. What a shock. I was willing to pay the $121.00.
