How to best change ship and itinerary...

I am pondering changing from the Wonder Eastern 7-night to the Magic Western 5-night (I know, less time, but I loved the Magic and I LOVE Miami...). But I haven't changed anything since before they changed the website interface so you could do the change on your own. So I'm not sure how it works...

I booked on board, so I'd only paid the 10% down. Would they price the new one at the current price minus 10% or do I lose that discount? And would I need to pay the additional 10% if I changed? (I know my OBC would change from $200 to $100)

And if I changed, would I call them and give them the reservation number and say I wanted to change it to the ship and date?

Thanks!

Call them with your reservation number and tell them you would like to change sailings. You will keep the 10% off and yes OBC will change. I just did this a couple weeks ago for one of our cruises.

You will probably have to come up with some more deposit since your changing it to less than 7 nights (depends on price difference between the two). The 5 nighter will require a 20% deposit regardless whether you book on or off board. Just call them up and change it and have credit card ready for a few extra bucks just in case. A lot of people change them especially after booking a dummy cruise while on board in order to transfer it when a new itinerary comes after your off ship. Yes, your OBC will go down to $100
