We just got back from a great trip. 9 days, DD's 1st bday, spent the trip with SIL who lives in FL so we are missing her too, had a great time with ILs who were also on the trip with us, it was our 1st trip in 2 years and I don't know when we will be going again, but it will be at least 18 months. I am sooooo bummed. I keep getting overwhelmed with waves of sadness, when DH left for work this morning it was the worst. It was like, ok back to our regular routine. Sigh....I love our regular life, but IT'S. NOT. DISNEY. I keep talking to DD, "this time last week, we were blah, blah, blah. I should be unpacking, cleaning, getting ready for DD's bday party which is on Sat, but I can't get off the disboards!

I have felt the same way since our return from our October 2005 trip! It was our first trip ever to WDW and we knew we were hooked from the first day. Unfortunately we are only financially able to go about every other year.

Keep talking about your trip to keep the memories alive!! Did you take lots of photos??? I really enjoyed making a photo album/scrapbook from our trip. We look at it several times a week. I have already made a new one for our upcoming trip and have bought several Disney scrapbooking items. So it's ready to go, just waiting on the great vacation pictures!!

You could also post a trip report on here. . . Lots of people enjoy reading them to look forward to their next trip!

We took the kids to a Disney On Ice show this past December. It was a great hold-over for our trip!

Try not to get too depressed!! I know it's hard.

pixiedust: Less than 5 weeks until our anniversary trip (with the kids!!) !

Please tell me about your trip! How did you celebrate your DD's birthday? My oldest DS had a birthday April 7th. We are going to have a belated celebration with a lunch at the Garden Grill with Chip & Dale on our trip next month! My youngest DS had a birthday on our first WDW trip and we had breakfast at the Crystal Palace. It was excellent!

For me, read the DIS boards, subscribe to several of the podcasts, plan for the next trip regardless of how far away.a:thumbsup2

Yesterday was our first full day back. I spend a good bit of the day going through our PhotoPass pictures, plus the literally HUNDREDS of pictures that DD13 took.

I was going to say the same thing. Do you scrapbook or put your pictures in a photo album. That might be a nice way to relive your Disney trip. Also planning for the next trip helps to keep the spirits up. Even if it's a year ahead. We live near Disney and go all the time, but it's the same for us. We always have that let down feeling when we come home.

I had the same problem after my first trip in early March. The only help I think I have for it is too look at old photos, post a trip report and find a way to start planning for your next trip. We said we wouldn't go for another year or two, but I am found a few ways to make extra money to help pay for us to go in October. Even if your trip is 2 years away, it is comforting to me to start thinking about where you want to stay, where to eat so on so on.

I also have a disney catalog outlet near my house and have visited there for a few extra pick me ups hoping dh doesn't kill me in the near future.:rotfl:

The PPs all have great ideas!! Our trip was this past December and the let down is terrible. I have truly found the DIS boards to be a life saver. There is such wonderful and interesting things to read on here and you can make some great friends.

I love reading people's trip report so please post one for us!! We would love to read it, you will enjoy typing it out and I bet you go back and re read it many times!! You could add a copy to your scrapbook. I am currently doing a scrap book of our trip and it really helps with the withdrawal.

Have a great day!!

I was going over the trip layout with my husband last night. On our last day we will stay until the fireworks if the kids can hold out. Then I told him we will get in the car to leave and I'll cry all the way home.

I know it will happen. It's like leaving summer camp. AAAAHHHHHHH

As soon as I get home and unpack...I am on the DIS starting to plan our next trip!
