Please tell me how to attach cups/water botlles to an umbrella stroller?
We just got a Chicco Velocita (which I LOVE) however, read in another thread that it's somehow possible to attach drinks to them? I have yet to figure this secret out??? :confused3

Back when I had my first (ten yrs ago), I bought a thing at Babys R us that was a drink holder that just clipped onto the handle of the stroller. I thought it was the greatest thing when they came out with strollers with built in cup holders. I'm sure they still sell these though....Target might even have one in the baby doodads isle.

Prince Lionheart (Babies R Us) makes a kit that has two clips, a snack holder, drink holder, hooks and mesh bag. The problem is that the clips have to be places just right in order to close the stroller, and often you have to remove the holders too.

There are leash type things that can hold a bottle of water/sippy cup which can be hooked on to a stroller. I got a Maclaren organizer which is a mesh pouch with two neoprene drink holders and hangs from the handles of my umbrella stroller. You really have to wiggle a bottle or cup in it, and it sort of flops backwards a bit, but still works. Just keep in mind too that any added weight on a back of a stroller could make it tipsy, especially if a child isnt in the stroller.

Im going to try something with my stroller. I bought a doggie treat pouch with clips and am going to rig it so that my daughter can reach in and get some snacks. As for her sippy cup, I have a leash type thing from the Right Start that loops around the stroller and her cup. She will have to have the cup tucked next to her, but at least when she tosses it out it wont get lost!

I'm big on the Carry You cupholders and organizers. We have the little single (Sorrento I think they call it) for DS, and the Demi-Milan that holds two drinks for us plus keys and tissues. They work great on the three strollers we've tried them on: Mac Triumph, Peg P3 (not the single for DS since he doesn't need it with the child tray), and Quinny Zapp. I don't think they're available in stores, though - I ordered mine from their site directly but I think they are on other web sites as well. Their site is carryyou dot com.

We did install a Prince Lionheart on our Mac and had to cut away some handle foam to do it and have it still fold. That worked well too, but I feel like the actual cupholder piece is never where we need it when we need it.

HTH!

Babies R Us sells cup holders that attach to the strollers. I bought one but wasn't overly thrilled with it so I returned it. My stroller has 2 cup holders built in the top so I will just use them.
I did buy a 2 pack of these S hooks that attach onto the stroller handle so we will have somewhere to hang bags and such.

Goingtodisneyworld,

We just returned from our first trip involving strollers and I did the smartest thing (totally by accident of course). I packed several of our bottle straps we have purchased over the previous trips. If you haven't seen these, they are long straps, maybe 15 " or so. WDW sells them where they sell bottled drinks. There is a slip not type of deal on the end that slips over a bottle of water and you carry it over your shoulder. We have always used these for cameras, drinks or whatever. This time they were perfect for slipping over a sippy cup and slipping around the stroller handle or side bar. They would work for keeping track of a toy or anything you want to keep track of. You can unhook the cup in just a second or two.

They were only a couple of dollars when we got them, but I think they are more now, but they also make a nice souvenir.

I bought one a BabiesRus. It comes in two pieces. The first piece is mounted on a bar of the umbrella stroller, and the second piece (the actual cup holder) clips onto the first piece. It's great because the cup holder can actual be taken off and on so we didn't have to worry about it when we checked the stroller at the airport. It fit very firmly and never fell off. I think it was a prince lionheart.

I just bought a Safe To Go insulated drink holder at The Right Start. It attaches to the stroller with a grippy strap and velcro. There are two settings -- one for an umbrella style stroller and the other for a horizontal-bar stroller. It has two additional pockets on it as well to store keys or cell phone. So far, so good.
