How to ask for room upgrade

In the past we've been on the 2nd floor and I personally dont like taking the elevator up to the 2nd floor its a personal pet peeve or something. I remember living on the 2nd floor of an apartment building and i always carried my groceries up the floor. Im quirky I suppose. But this trip ill probably use the elevator due to a recent injury that is making walking fun in itself :)
I tend to do the same thing...especially at POP. I seldom use the elevator when going down. And if I'm on the second floor, I usually just walk up....unless I'm loaded down with stuff from the food court!!

I hope this thread can stay open. I agree that when people post about their remarkable stays and the unexpected pixie dust that came their way, gives people the impression that it's commonplace and happens to everyone. Which of course is not the reality of going to Disney. I think that those of us who have gone often understand this and accept it.

I like hearing other people's pixie dust stories. I've had a couple of nice things happen to my family and I since we've started taking Disney vacations in 2000. I agree with a previous poster that if I want a certain view, room catagory, or any kind of "magic", I pay for it myself. That way it's ensured and I'm very happy:goodvibes. And if I happen to get a little pixie dust sprinkled on me then I'm really happy and grateful :cool1:. But if I don't get any pixie dust, I'm still happy to be vacationing in one of my favorite places with my family. :thumbsup2

I would never become angry or jealous over someone else's pixie dust. I'm happy for them even though I don't know them. But that's just me...
