how to add link titles?

anyone know how to change an inserted link that just comes up with the webaddress to something that has a title instead?

e.g currently I posted a link that reads www.disboards.com/showthread etcet

and I want it to say something else.

ok go to reply a msg
there should be a world sign with a little chain
click on it and you should be able to insert ur link there
it should be similar to this but with the brackets instead of the smiley faces

change the writing in between (when you 1st enter it it should be highlighted) to whatever you want, hope you get it its hard to describe things at times

nope I'm not getting it at all (give me time, I am blonde!!)

I copy the link
I click on the insert link icon
I paste in the link, then delete the info after "showthread"
put in my title where that info was

and it doesnt happen

Just a note that if you are using AOL as your web browser, you cannot do it (don't ask me why, I have no idea). I use AOL but if I want to do that, I have to open the DIS in Internet Explorer.

Another way of doing it is to write the word(s) you want to appear as the link title, highlight it and then click on the Insert Link button. The word you highlighted will automatically become the link title.
